How to Craft a Furnace in Minecraft



Before you build an electric furnace, you'll require a crafting Table.



Make a crafting table. Put 4 Wood Planks of the same type of wood in each of the boxes of the 2X2 crafting grid. Any kind of wood can be used (Oak Planks and Jungle Planks). ).



Mine 8 Cobblestones or Blackstones.



Set your Crafting Table on the ground and then open it to access the 3X3 crafting grid. Depending on the version of the game you are playing there's a different method to accomplish this.



Craft your Furnace. Place 8 Cobblestones or Blackstones in the outer boxes (leave the center box empty).



Place the Furnace on the ground. Open it to access the smelting menu.



Minecraft Furnace Recipe



Once you have a Crafting Table, all you need to do to build a Furnace is the following:



- 8 Cobblestones and 8 Blackstones. (You can't mix and match them unless you're on Java Edition)



You will need to have an energy source such as wood, coal or charcoal, in order to smelt things in your Furnace.



What Can You Do With a Furnace?



Use Furnaces in Minecraft to create new items by smelting materials in your inventory. Many items can only made through melting. Iron Ingots are made by melting Iron Ore, which is needed to create an armor.
